Niratan v1.0.0
Niratan is a native macOS fork/rework of Manhhao's Hoshi Reader. It keeps the Hoshi reading and mining workflow, rebuilt around macOS windows, menus, shortcuts, sidebar navigation, and desktop app behavior.
Features
- 📖 EPUB Bookshelf: Progress, sorting, vertical/horizontal text, paged and continuous reading.
- 🔎 Yomitan Dictionaries: Term, pitch, frequency, deinflection, search, nested popups, click/selection/Shift-hover lookup.
- 📤 Global Lookup: Select text in another app and trigger Hoshi with a shortcut (requires macOS Accessibility permission).
- 🎬 Video Build: Local library, player window, subtitle lookup, Transcript, chapters, Inspector, Mining History, screenshots, and subtitle audio clips.
- 🎧 Sasayaki Read-Along: Sentence highlighting, local audio, and reader/audio integration.
- 🃏 AnkiConnect: Cards from books or videos with duplicate checks, media fields, covers, audio, screenshots, and subtitle audio clips.
- ☁️ Google Drive Sync: Optional sync for books, progress, stats, and study data.
