Agent Setup Guide

Agent

An excellent way of extracting text from games

If there is a script, consider Agent!

Agent captures in-game text (for visual novels, emulators, games, JRPGs, etc.) using JavaScript scripts. It has a GUI, a CLI mode and supports a shared scripts repository used to extract text from games or programs that Textractor usually cannot

Key Features

  • Script-based text extraction
  • Easy attachment to games
  • Works with Yuzu emulator
  • Simple configuration

Setting up Agent

Attaching Agent to the game and configuring the Ext. Texthooker page!

1

Open Agent and then move the icon to the desired game or program. You can also search for the process name and select it.

2

Now you can choose to click the < > button (to import your own script) or the right-sided dropdown menu (to select from a wide range of scripts). For the latter, click "Update scripts" and select the script for your desired game using the big dropdown menu at the left of the < > button.

3

Click "Attach" and Agent will now start extracting text and sending it to your clipboard or localhost:9001 WebSocket (You can select which one you prefer in the settings)

4

Use an Ext. Texthooker page like Renji's, click the page's gear icon and add "localhost:9001" as the Secondary WebSocket, then connect by pressing the button and hit the "Play" button

5

Choose between a dictionary tool: Yomitan or JL (Ignore the Textractor setup)

Tips
